gather and grow with fellow community tenders

cultivating rooted ecosystems of care, reciprocity, and solidarity for the mutual thriving of our beloved communities

  • Seed Circles are cohort gatherings for those connected to non-profit, social justice, and movement spaces
In Seed Circles, you will connect deeply; give and receive support; tend to the self (as you so often tend to others); and co-create shared visions for the world we are building.

  • Intentional, regular gatherings offer space and time to cultivate deeply rooted relationships and build creative and reciprocal connections.

  • Together, we are weaving a sturdy web that is flexible and responsive to ever-changing conditions.

Meet the duo behind Seed Circles

Natalia and Heather have worked in the nonprofit sector for most of our careers and share a deep commitment to the sustainability and wellbeing of our colleagues doing this essential work. We share a lifelong passion for social justice, experience working in social services, and have both served in positions of leadership and served organizations as consultants.

We dreamed Seed Circles into being as a response and antidote to the toxic urgency we are confronted with. We envision Seed Circles as a space of respite, understanding, and belonging. Our aspiration and goal is that Seed Circles will sustain you through our shared, intergenerational, and neverending project of social change.

Our trauma informed, anti-racist, intersectional feminist praxis is the ground in which Seed Circles are rooted.

  • Natalia's work in the nonprofit sector includes a wide range of positions from founder and executive director of Siren Nation, a presenting arts organization showcasing women artists, to Camp Director at Oregon College of Arts & Crafts (RIP) and volunteer coordinator at Habitat for Humanity and the PSU Queer Resource Center. Since receiving a Masters in Public Administration in 2011, Natalia has used her communication skills and aptitude for relationships to fundraise for nonprofits. In 2023 Natalia became a fulltime consultant and launched Gather: a happy hour for social good, a quarterly networking event for folx working in the nonprofit sector. Currently, Natalia is embracing her role as a convener of purposeful events designed to build community, create solidarity, and drive engagement.

  • Heather is a dedicated community weaver, with many years’ experience supporting individuals, families, and communities to nurture and grow care, connection, and resilience. She brings this spirit to her practice, Rose and Cedar Forest. Through Rose and Cedar, Heather guides Forest Bathing; offers group and individual Grief Care; and provides organizational consulting and retreats. She is also an adjunct professor of social work. In all of these realms, Heather is co-creating a world of liberation, thriving, and embodied, mycorrhizal magic for all beings.
